The German physicist Wilhelm Roentgen discovered the X-Ray technology in 1895 accidentally when in a gas discharged tube he was testing electron beams. When he turned on the electron beam a florescent monitor began to glow in his laboratory. The monitor still continued to glow when many objects were positioned by him in between the tube and the monitor. Finally in front of the tube he placed his hand and on the fluorescent monitor he noticed the silhouette of his bones was projected. This led to the discovery of x-ray.
