In 1779, the earliest six string guitar was built by Gaetano Vinaccia in Naples in Italy. Adolph Rickenbacker and George Beauchamp designed the first electronic guitar which was built in 1932 by Harry Wilson. The first person to perform with the electric guitar was Gage Brewer.
