In the year 1790, Comte Mede de Sivrac of France invented one of the earliest scooters of wooden -like contraptions known as a celerifere. Baron Karl von Drais de Sauerbrun, of Germany in the year 1816, invented a model called as Draisienne with two wheels and it was without pedals. In front of the wheel a steering bar was attached and on 6th April 1818 and it was showcased in Paris. The first mechanically-propelled two wheel vehicle was built by a Scottosh blacksmith, Kirkpatrick MacMillan in 1839.
