In the 1940s the two brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald opened the first McDonalds store in San Bernardino in California. The idea for opening the McDonald restaurants all over the U.S.A is credited to Ray Kroc.
On April 15, 1955 a franchised restaurant in Des Plaines in Illinois was opened by him and later that year MacDonald’s Corporation was founded by him. The McDonald restaurants are found all over the world in 119 countries.
